A customer (?) dressed as Carota, a great Sinner supporter, arrived in Vilpiano for the Grand Slam tournament. IN VILPIANO????
A procession of carnival carriages passes in front of the hotel.
AHHHH the carnival carriage is part of the procession in Terlano!
The traditional Carnival procession has taken place on Shrove Thursday since 1971; This year 26 floats will parade through the town starting from the center of Terlano. Worth seeing are the traditional costumes, masks and curiosities of all kinds. After the parade, the event continues with the traditional “Pansele Pansele” festival. Pansele is the name of the barrel of the well-known Terlaner wine.
The towns of Vilpiano and Settequerce, as well as the municipality of Andriano and Nalles, located on the other side of the valley, also participate in the event. A jury judges the floats and participants and, at the end of the procession, awards the winners. On Shrove Tuesday, the keys to the Municipality are returned to the Mayor and the town returns to normal, until the following year when "Pansele Pansele" will be heard again.
In Terlano the Carota boy will meet other Carota boys, who will cheer.
And the carrot girl is the concierge's little sister.... Pansele Pansele?
Stay tuned
