For about twenty years Ruth Gamper has been collecting waste materials like plastic bags, used ceramics, papers, filters and bags of coffee,and other objects. "I am attracted by used things that contain the experience." "The bags of coffee, which I embroider, come alive together with an artistic transformation that can act as a bridge between our consumer society and the society of the third world in search of new identities." The coffee filters witness the daily lives in the repetitive gesture that takes artistic values: "Every day is a little life", which usually begins with a cup of coffee ....
