We are not talking about the virus of course, but about Corona (800 meters above sea level), a fraction of Cortaccia on the Wine Road, which is located on the "second floor" or above Cortaccia on a sunny plateau.
To get to Cortaccia you pass in front of Caldaro lake which in these spring days offers the opportunity for more than just a photo shoot.
Arriving by public transport to the local Corona volunteer fire station, we walked along the plateau.
The few drops of water that fell last week weren't enough to adequately water the flowers but still gave the bloom the power it needed to sprout...
The best thing of the day? The Concierge's rest on the grass with an incredible view of the Dolomites with the mountains, valleys and lake at the foot.
The rest of the Concierge has turned into a nap and only the cold sunset has awakened him. And with panic in his eyes he wonders: when does the last public bus leave Corona? And then, will he manage not to miss the connection in Cortaccia to get to our destination with other bus changes?
Will the concierge arrive on time??
Stay tuned!!!
